HOW BIDDING WORKS
Reserve Price:
This auction operates 'With Reserve'. If you are the highest bidder but the reserve price is not met, the seller is not required to complete the sale. The auctioneer can accept lower bids as instructed by the seller.
The Auctioneer reserves the right to accept or refuse the bid of any bidder should they be unable to satisfy any of the above notices or the Rules of Auction and FICA requirements.
GOODS/PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
Vehicles are sold according to the year of first registration on the NaTIS document and not the year of manufacture. The year of manufacture is unknown to Tirhani Auctioneers or Seller, and no queries will be entertained regarding the year of manufacture. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ascertain that the descriptions and specifications for assets are correct.
The Department of Transport has clarified an important distinction regarding vehicle records:
What e-NaTIS doesn’t track: The National Traffic Information System (e-NaTIS) motor vehicle register does not record the actual model year or year of manufacture for vehicles.
Official source for manufacture year: Only the manufacturing plant where a specific vehicle was assembled has the authority to declare that vehicles year of manufacture.
Runners |
| Non-Runners |
A vehicle sold as a runner does not necessarily mean it can be driven off the site. Staff may have jump-started the vehicle or bridged the ignition. It is the buyer's responsibility to bring the necessary equipment to start and drive the vehicle away. |
| Non-runner vehicles must be collected using a Breakdown Recovery Vehicle arranged by the buyer. |
