WHO WE ARE

Tirhani Benefit Auctions (TBA) was established in August 2008 to render focused and specialised benefit, charity and collectables auctions.

The difference between benefit auctions and charity auctions is that benefit auctions are professionally planned, organized and conducted fund-raising events whereas charity auctions often happen as a by-product of other fund-raising activities and are often conducted part-time by volunteers on a pro bono basis.


CLIENT BASE

Tirhani Auctioneers, the predecessor of TBA, has conducted many successful charity auctions pro bono in the past as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSI) programme.

The need to transcend from charity auctions and form a benefit auctions company focused and specialised in the planning, organising and conducting professional fund-raising events was informed by recent trends, particularly in the USA, where benefit auctions have become a specialised niche market that gave birth to a big industry with gross annual turnover of more than $15 billion (2007 figures).

The reality is that benefits, charity and collectables auctions require unique techniques that are peculiar to standard auction methods.
